Each successive press of the Sel/reset button initiates a new cycling of all the gauges. To end, turn the ignition switch to OFF, or vehicle speed exceeds 1.5 mph. Checked my temps yesterday using TEST Mode. Ambient temp was 96*F - 98* F or around 36*C. Idling in Park with AC ON gave me 103*C, Idling in Drive with AC ON gave me 113*C to 115*C (235.4*F to 239*F). While driving, temps were around 109*C (228.2* F). Temp neveer went into the red, but sure scared me.

The test mode thing sounds like the computer thinks you are pushing the odometer reset button all the time. I haven't looked through the diagrams, but that button probably is a switched ground, so if the CPU sees voltage drop there, it thinks the button is being pushed.
