Assassins Creed Valhalla It didn’t take long to begin seeing some impressive performance out of AMD’s latest RDNA3 GPUs. Radeons have been strong in AC Valhalla since its release, proven by the fact that the RX 6900 XT goes toe-to-toe with the RTX 3090, and the new RX 7900 XTX sits ahead of its closest competition, RTX 4080.
Thebenchmarks show that cards with 3 GB and 4 GB take a massive performance hit, which isn't unexpected. If you have one of these cards, dial back texture settings one notch and you'll be fine. What's more important is that high-end PCs have the option to run at significantly better fidelity than consoles. Discuss.
Benchmarkscores in other reviews are only comparable when this exact same configuration is used. We tested the public release version of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, not a press pre-release. We also installed the Day One 1.02 Patch. Both AMD and NVIDIA have released game-ready drivers for the game. Graphics Memory Usage Assasins Creed Odyssey is this year's version of the epic series and takes you to ancient Greece. We tested the game at 1080p, 1440p and 4K using a large PlusOrigins and Odyssey are both CPU bottlenecked due to the large game world. I'm actually super impressed and relieved to see Odyssey is only performing about 10 FPS lower than Origins for me with all things considered. The game is keeping around 70fps with a 7700k and 1080ti at ultra on 1440p.
