Fiat is so good with small cars that you wonder why it bothers with anything else. Fiat Panda 1.3 Multijet. Panda 4x4 gets a fashionable make-over to appeal to a younger market. Discovered I had a puncture so first decided to try re-inflating to get to the garage. Got the pump ready but could I find anywhere on the car that specified what the tyre pressures Fiat Panda 4x4 hatchback owner reviews "Despite its tiny size, the Fiat Panda 4x4 is more capable off-road than many larger SUVs" Good car, great fun to drive but not nearly as economical as The new Panda 4x4 should be just as capable as the last two cars to wear that badge thanks to its permanent four-wheel drive system, skinny tyres and generous ground clearance. It's a chunky looking thing too, with body-coloured ‘4x4 style’ bumpers with satin aluminium finished skid-plate, roof rails, side mouldings with ‘4x4’ logo

If you do want to get out of the city, the Panda 4x4 (above) is the pick. It adds the obligatory off-road cladding with chunkier bumpers and a 47mm increase in ground clearance.
The interior is hard wearing and is full of the usual quirky Panda details that I love. It's a car that makes me smile whenever I see it and drive it - and is so refreshingly different from most of the other small cars on the road. It's not trying to be something it isn't: it's a Panda being a Panda.
Some of the Fiat 127 Rustica's cheapness can be explained by the fact that it was designed for light off-roading. But, the Fiat Panda 4x4 that effectively replaced it was a much better car in every way. The 127 Rustica has been forgotten by the annals of history, and for good reason!
This allows varying degrees of 4x4 engagement depending on info the electronics receives from the car's wheel speed sensors. Unlikely to end up with 50/50 drive for long as it will disengage itself again. However, pressing the ELD/Force4x4 button fixes the connection at full 50/50 4x4 (if doing under 30mph).
