Some of the Fiat 127 Rustica's cheapness can be explained by the fact that it was designed for light off-roading. But, the Fiat Panda 4x4 that effectively replaced it was a much better car in every way. The 127 Rustica has been forgotten by the annals of history, and for good reason!
This allows varying degrees of 4x4 engagement depending on info the electronics receives from the car's wheel speed sensors. Unlikely to end up with 50/50 drive for long as it will disengage itself again. However, pressing the ELD/Force4x4 button fixes the connection at full 50/50 4x4 (if doing under 30mph).
