No need. This has been said time and time again but its simply the best advice you can get about time limit in Dead Rising 1 and 2. When you fail main case just keep playing. Kill psychopaths, rescue survivors, search every nook and cranny of the map, experiment with game mechanics, level up a lot in proces. Just do everything you wanted to do
Plug the PS4 controller into the PC with a USB cable (I always use a front facing USB 2.0 port, never the ones in the back nor USB 3.0), and it it suppossed to work. It works for me. I just beat Dead Rising a few weeks ago using my PS4 controller and it had PlayStation button prompts the whole time.

Run around, when i did it they mainly followed behind me trinyg to slash me while i blasted away with the shotguns and the merc assault rifles. As you only have to kill one of them, focus all your fire on one.
