Re TDI timing belt change interval (TDIIDman) It would certainly be nice if VW would make the Timing Belt change interval easier for all of us. My 2005.5 owner's manual, too, indicates a check is due at 80K, with a change due at 90K, AND, 100K miles. This makes no sense, of course.

Ihave spoken to someone at Skoda via livechat about cambelt change. They confirmed that on 1st july 2023 their interval pplicy had changed to a lifetime one and cambelt should be changed after 15yrs or 140k-160k miles. I had my belt changed in 2019 aft 88k miles and currently sit at 157k so hence why i enquired. AAYep1.
